PostSubject: Defenders of Rubi Ka Code of Conduct   Sun Feb 07, 2010 4:35 am

Just a few rules to make everything run a bit smoother Smile

As a member of Defenders of Rubi Ka, you are expected to....

  • Be polite and courteous to other players, both in the org and out of it,

  • Help out your org mates when you can (you can expect the same in return),

  • Obey Anarchy Online's Terms of Service (No exploits, harassment of other players, or other bannable offenses)

  • Keep it clean: excessive profanity or rude behavior is not permitted in org chat, nor is it acceptable in other public areas (this doesn't mean you'll be banned if you let one slip, but most of us don't care to see streams of profanity filling our screens)

What we DON'T want:

  • Beggers (Most of use are more than willing to help someone out if they're making a little effort, but begging for creds/items is just annoying)

  • Leechers (Help is gladly extended to all, but you should expect to provide help to others when something comes up that you might be able to do -- give and receive alike, don't just take)

  • Gankers (We're a PVM org first and PVP org second, and reasonably friendly with all factions... Don't start killing a flagged person, regardless of alignment, unless you're sure they are LOOKING for trouble.)

  • KSers (OD'ing or attempts to OD another individual or team that was first to initiate an attack on a mob is generally frowned upon-- it's just rude)

  • Scammers (Come on, who likes a scammer? no-one, that's who!)

  • Ebayers (Don't fill up the org chat with WTS spam, please.... if you find a particularly nice item an org mate wants to buy, conduct your business in private tells).

If you have a disagreement with an org mate and cannot resolve it between yourselves, PM a General+ to discuss the matter-- DON'T bring it into the org channel or the forums.

Pay it Forward: Just as you may receive assistance, you are expected to assist others when you can. Unless it has been otherwise specified, when someone from the org passes on an item for you to use you are not expected to return those items. However, you should "pay it forward" by passing those same items on to other org mates when you're done using them. When you receive assistance from someone, instead of paying them back pay it forward by helping someone who can use your assistance.

Assistance with intent to sell: If you're receiving a service or item from an org mate with the intent to sell, it's considered polite to offer a tip providing the item or service (an example would be gathering parts for arul bracelets you intend to sell, or asking an org tradeskiller for help assembling them (if you're doing it for your personal use, that is another matter-- but if you're profiting off them it's only fair that those who help you profit as well).

And, as always, be prepared to have fun and enjoy your stay on Rubi Ka!
